The Grafton Library now provides you with links to your local library systems as well as three academic databases. Search the list below; then click on LINKS at the top of the page to be redirected to the site of your choice. These links will open in a new browser page, so you will not lose your access to the Grafton Library.
ERIC (Education Resource Information Center): This is the largest on-line database for education-related articles. The majority of the articles can be accessed as full text. Those articles which only provide an abstract do give directions for accessing the full text. This is an open access database.
LIRN (Library Information Resources Network): This collection of databases provides access to a host of academic journals, periodicals, books, news articles and multimedia for a variety of academic and professional subjects. Databases include ProQuest, e-Library, Bowker's Books in Print, RCL Web, and Ebsco Host. This is a member database. As a patron of the Grafton Library, you have been granted membership. TJL (Theological Journal Library): For Bible scholars, this database is a treasure trove! Search through thousands of conservative evangelical journals dating back to the 1930s. This is a member database. Please contact us if you do not know your password. LIBRARY INFORMATION
The Grafton Library serves patrons from Faith Baptist Church, Faith Baptist School, and Virginia Baptist College. Our library is also available to members of other churches with whom we fellowship.

AVAILABLE MATERIALS: Bea Jones Children's Collection - over 4,000 titles for beginning to advanced readers (This includes many well- known series such as The Sugar Creek Gang, Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Mandie, Boxcar Children, American Girl, Little House on the Prairie, Bobbsey Twins, Happy Holisters, Danny Orlis, and The Black Stallion.)
Theological Collection - over 3,000 titles (This includes commentaries on most books of the Bible, sermon books, concordances, as well as many practical books on Christian living).
Biographies - over 600 titles for children and adults (heavy emphasis on historical figures and Christian leaders)
Adult fiction - over 1,300 titles (includes many well-known Christian series)
Non-fiction - over 7,000 titles (includes history, maths and sciences, education, fine arts, classical literature and languages, technology, and many reference materials)
Videos/DVDs - over 200 titles (includes Bible, missions, education, history, science [heavy creation emphasis], parenting, biographies, finances, and family viewing selections)
A modest study area and two computers with internet-filtered access are available for patrons as well as a copier and 9"x12" laminator.
LATE FINES : We allow one day of grace for overdue materials. After that, fines will begin to accumulate daily at the rate of 10 cents per item per day. There are two book drops available for your convenience: The book drop in the Grafton Library is available during library hours, and the book drop at the reception desk in the Scott Center foyer is accessible on the weekends as well as during library hours.
BECOME A PATRON: Search through our on-line catalog. To take full advantage of our automated system, stop by the library to set up a patron account. You will be given a library card and will then have on-line access to place books on reserve for later pick-up, renew books to avoid late charges, and view your account.
